Working It Does Not Have To Be Hard Work

The challenge of getting down a dress size or two before the christmas parties begin is now or never.  Officially only 3 more weeks until the start of December and the start of the party season.

So what have you been doing to get your self in shape?  Eating sensibly is the only option, but eating sensibly, watching your portion sizes and exercising are the order of the day.

Start out doing a detox to get the body ready for a fully fledged diet if you are going to get in shape for the next three or more weeks.

Your mindset is important and you need to get your head sorted out.  Check out our article on mindset here ==> Mindset

Hate to say it but, if you haven't got the discipline to cut the crap out of your diet and stick to healthy eating, then you will find it hard to lose weight to any degree.

Do you take the elevator or the stairs?  Try taking the stairs instead of the elevator.  And if you do take the stairs, take them two at a time to get the perfect 'bum'.

Bike riding will help shape your 'bum and legs', I personally love to ride outdoors rather than in the gym, but if you do use the gym, try pushing the level up really high and then pumping the revs up, yes it is difficult on the thigs and calves, but just doing this for 10 minutes is much more effective than riding at a low level for a longer period of time.

Circuit Training - only for those who want to lose serious weightloss or shape up quickly in the next three to rouf weeks.  I recently attended a 'military workout' class and a 'weight loss circuit' and they really got my body aching in muscles I never knew I had. Definately got the metabolism running quicker and the sweat was pouring off me.

As with anything you do, make sure you seek advice first from your physician before attempting to do such streneous activities.

If you are overweight, try using the cross training, bike or rowing machine along with weight bearing exercises.  Jogging will not help, and besides is more stressful on your joints at this stage, once the weight comes off, then gently ease into jogging.  If you are a member of a gym, then seek advice from a professional instructor.
