Announcing The Start of Our January Detox

It's That Time Of Year When We Get Rid Of Unwanted Christmas Pounds...

Hey, Colette here, so how many of you put on excessive pounds over the holidays... (hands in air)
Yep I did too, so now we have to start to get back on track.  I don't know about you, but I have around 18lbs to lose to get into shape before tmy special birthday in MAY!

You see, it's a special year for me, in May I will turn xxxx, maybe I should do this as a competition and get you to guess my age!

So, I have a good WHY, going forward and it is really important to have a reason why you want to lose weight and look great!

Julie & Me (my best friend) at a gig - she is a singer!

Steps For Efficient Weight Loss

1.  Get real and ask yourself why you are doing this, and mentally prepare yourself to be ready to do whatever it takes.

2. Get a weightloss buddy, someone who can hold you to account.  If you want  online or email support, you could always email me direct at Londonfitgirlsclub@gmail.com

3. Have a goal in mind.  Make it realistic, the last thing you want to do is to say you want to lose 20lbs or more in an unrealistic amount of time.  Get real!  Expect to lose minimum 5 - 7lbs a month.  So you may want to break down your goals.

4. Put an exercise plan in place, cardio 30 minutes or more at least 3 / 4 times a week.  You may also want to look at weight training for toning up lose skin and defining muscles.

5. Prepare all meals the day before, so you know what you will be eating, and not be tempted to stray away from your eating plan.

6. Stock up on fruit and vegetables and healthy snacks.  This is the time to get rid of the comfort food shopping, i.e. no potatoe chips, chocolate, icecream or cakes or biscuits.

7. Put water on the menu. Yep you read that right, drinks lots of water during the detox, as this will help to break down fat, and to also stop you from feeling tired and sluggish, and headachey.

So with these steps in mind, ar eyou ready?

***GUEST POST ****Most Affordable Online Fitness School

Making the decision to attend school, whether it be a trade school or a traditional four year university, generally comes with the understanding that a great cost might be involved. The term "affordable" is extremely subjective as some people are able to afford thousands upon thousands of dollars per year. Other people might not mind taking out more loans now because they feel a payoff will come later. What are some of the options to consider for affordable online fitness schools?

NESTA
NESTA, which stands for the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association, affords you with the opportunity to become a personal trainer at a lower cost. By simply visiting the program's website and becoming a member, you will be entitled to 10 percent off on a program. When you consider the total amount of an educational program, a 10 percent discount is huge.

Ashworth College
You also absolutely must look into the fitness programs that are available at Ashworth. By simpling visiting the main page of this university's website, you will see all of the possibilities that are available to you. At the very top, you have the opportunity to click on a button and potentially save up to 30 percent on your tuition. Scroll down a little bit, and learn how completing three semesters might entitle you to a fourth one for free.

Ashford University
Whether you're more interested in the exercise part of the nutrition part of fitness, it's like that Ashford has a program meeting your requirements. Why is this school so affordable? Well, it has an array of financial aid options that are available for students who choose to study online. As the school's "Online Financial Services" site states, "You may use any of the following options to fund your degree program," and then it goes on to list cash plan, tuition reimbursement, third party billing, military tuition assistance, military veterans benefits and financial aid. Clearly, quite a number of options exist to help lower the cost of classes.

Online Classes
Before you enroll in a school program, you might need to take some basic classes to learn just a bit more about fitness. Certainly, since you'll have a bill from the school soon, you do not want to have to spend a lot of money on these preliminary courses. For example, you could check out iBodyFit, where you can learn some exercise moves at absolutely no cost at all. Additionally, websites such as FitnessGlo offer an array of online fitness classes for a low monthly rate. Not only will you be learning some of the basics that you need to know, but you will also be getting your body into better shape.

If you are planning to pursue a career in teaching or in physical training, you are probably going to need to go to the campus at some point. A lot of the classes can be completed online, but you will also need to demonstrate that you can physically complete the necessary requirements.
