Using weights can help you to lose fat and weight quickly, but it is important to do it right.  Here I have found a great article on using kettle bells to help you to tone up and lose weight.

Weights can be great to help you tone up, and there are great toning exercises out there, but it is always important to ensure you are capable of lifting weights in the first place, so alwasy consult your physician before embarking on any exercise.

I did some of these exercises a few weeks ago and I can vouch that they do make you sweat, and I ached in places I didnt know I had muscles in.  The funny thing is the aches took three days to manifest after I did the original workout.

Make sure you warm down properly after any such exercise and it is important to keep doing a little but often.  Dont go all out with heavy weights right at the beginning.  Feel you way into what is the right weight for you without you feeling you are straining or pulling a muscle lifting the weight in the first place.

Working It Does Not Have To Be Hard Work

The challenge of getting down a dress size or two before the christmas parties begin is now or never.  Officially only 3 more weeks until the start of December and the start of the party season.

So what have you been doing to get your self in shape?  Eating sensibly is the only option, but eating sensibly, watching your portion sizes and exercising are the order of the day.

Start out doing a detox to get the body ready for a fully fledged diet if you are going to get in shape for the next three or more weeks.

Your mindset is important and you need to get your head sorted out.  Check out our article on mindset here ==> Mindset

Hate to say it but, if you haven't got the discipline to cut the crap out of your diet and stick to healthy eating, then you will find it hard to lose weight to any degree.

Do you take the elevator or the stairs?  Try taking the stairs instead of the elevator.  And if you do take the stairs, take them two at a time to get the perfect 'bum'.

Bike riding will help shape your 'bum and legs', I personally love to ride outdoors rather than in the gym, but if you do use the gym, try pushing the level up really high and then pumping the revs up, yes it is difficult on the thigs and calves, but just doing this for 10 minutes is much more effective than riding at a low level for a longer period of time.

Circuit Training - only for those who want to lose serious weightloss or shape up quickly in the next three to rouf weeks.  I recently attended a 'military workout' class and a 'weight loss circuit' and they really got my body aching in muscles I never knew I had. Definately got the metabolism running quicker and the sweat was pouring off me.

As with anything you do, make sure you seek advice first from your physician before attempting to do such streneous activities.

If you are overweight, try using the cross training, bike or rowing machine along with weight bearing exercises.  Jogging will not help, and besides is more stressful on your joints at this stage, once the weight comes off, then gently ease into jogging.  If you are a member of a gym, then seek advice from a professional instructor.

Do You Get Enough Fibre?

Many of my customers have increasingly asked me about how they can improve the reduction of fat intake into their diets, or to improve their overall digestion.  The answer is increase fibre into your program.  However, many of them are busy people and there is only so much fibre you can ingest through your diet, and supplementation is an aid not a replacement for increasing fibrein your program. The Fibre and herb tablets are a great way to aid your program, below the information taken from the Official Herbalife site explains more about the product.

Introducing Herbalife Fibre & Herb product into your regime,  It is a high in soluble fibre which helps to optimise your digestive health by supporting the body’s natural elimination of waste and toxins.

KEY BENEFITS

• A nutritional supplement to help you increase your daily fibre intake to support digestive health
• High in soluble fibre to help the body with the natural elimination of waste and toxins
• Ideal to use in conjunction with Herbalife Formula 1 shakes and Formula 2 Multivitamin Complex as part of your weight management programme and to support overall healthy nutrition.

WHY DO YOU NEED IT?

Getting enough fibre in the diet is essential for healthy digestive function. One of the many well known benefits of adequate fibre intake is its role to speed up the passage of food and to help eliminate toxins from the body. Studies suggest that Western diets are low in fibre; the average adult consumption of fibre is typically around 17g per day in Europe. Yet it is recommended your body needs 24 to 30g of fibre to optimise your digestive system.

USAGE

Take two tablets with each meal, three times per day.
This product may be used in conjunction with Herbalife Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix and Herbalife Formula 2 Multivitamin Complex.
