Clinically Proven To Destroy Fat

Some exciting research on vinegar proves that it really does reduce body fat levels, triglycerides and sugar in humans. I will outline the exact doses you need to achieve these beneficial effects, and when to use it to achieve them.

Fat and Sugar Busting Effects in Mice AND Humans

If you’ve ever had a high carbohydrate meal, or worse, one that was also high-glycemic, you already know that these sugars will convert to fat. If you use vinegar after a high-glycemic meal, your glucose levels will not rise, according to new research published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

The study examined the effects of a high-glycemic meal with and without vinegar on diabetic humans. Those who also had vinegar experienced lower glucose levels after their meal. Previous research has also shown this effect in healthy people.

Another study, but on mice who were on high fat diets, also shows that acetic acid, the active component in vinegar, enhances fatty acid oxidation and thermogenic proteins such as UCP-2, and prevents body fat accumulation.

Vinegar Reduces Body Fat and Triglycerides in Obese Humans

The most interesting research though, is a study published in the journal Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, performed on 175 obese patients who were administered different doses of apple vinegar, but did not change their diet or exercise patterns. One group received a low dose of vinegar, another a high dose, and the placebo group got a beverage that tasted like apple vinegar, but had no vinegar.

The 500 mL beverage (about 2 cups), contained mostly water, with the low dose group getting 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of vinegar mixed in the water, and the high dose group getting 30 ml (2 tablespoons).

Subjects drank 1 cup of the mixture after breakfast, and another cup after supper. After 4 weeks, body fat levels decreased significantly in both the high and low dose protocol. The higher the dose, the greater the body fat decrease. After 8 weeks, waist circumference decreased in the vinegar groups. Body weight, visceral (belly) fat mass and triglyceride levels also decreased in the vinegar groups.

The study reported no side effects, and it suggests that you have to keep drinking the vinegar mixture to keep the beneficial effects. The good effects go beyond weight reductions, and so vinegar could be an easy, safe, and effective compound to fight fat, and enhance health.

Fitness and Weight Loss Go Together

Author Dr Jeremy Sims MB BS MSc MRCGP FRIPH FRSH PGDipHI DipN&H MRNT

If you ever needed evidence that keeping fit / becoming fitter is important for your overall health if you are overweight, then two pieces of research published recently tell it all.
Research No. 1 studying the use of overweight and general fitness as predictors of future death in women, concluded that looking just at fatness as a predictor of mortality risk may very well be misleading, unless cardiovascular fitness is also taken into account. In other words, of course it is important to lose weight to reduce your chances of health problems - but that is not all. It is also vital to ensure fitness of your heart. And the only way to achieve this is through good healthy physical exercise on a regular basis.

In the second research study, this time examining the male population, 9,136 overweight men with no previous history of heart disease, were followed up for at least three years. Individual physical activity and any deaths amongst the group were recorded. The study's results showed that for overweight men the level of physical fitness was directly related to the risk of death from any cause. Even if you were overweight you could greatly reduce your risk of ill-health by improving and maintaining fitness levels.

So, the take home message from these research studies? If you want to maintain your health, physical exercise is just as important as controlling your weight. Indeed, it may be even more essential if you are overweight. Exercise not only aids in helping you to lose and maintain a healthy weight, it also substantially reduces your risk of future disease such as heart disease, osteoarthritis and diabetes, and aids mood and self-esteem.

Why not think about how you can improve your fitness levels over the coming weeks. In the words of a well-known grocery chain, "Every little helps"!

Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

Let’s be clear about this, it isnot a miracle cure, but this age old recipe has been around for centuries.  Hippocrates, known as the Father of Medicineused this vinegar around 400 B.C. for its health giving qualities.

So What Is Apple Cider Vinegar:
Apple cider vinegar is made from ripe apples that are fermented and then goesthrough a process to get to the final product.  The vinegar contains a host of vitamins, beta-carotene, pectin and vitalminerals such as potassium, phosphorous, sodium, magnesium, calcium, sulphur, chlorine, fluorine, and iron.

Now most of you will think that thesupermarket ‘clear sparkling’ white cider vinegar is the real deal.  The pure vinegar is steamed to get thesparking clear vinegar that is available at the supermarket. This steamingprocess destroys almost all of the health giving nutrients. What it does do isgive the vinegar an excellent eye appeal. Well, sorry to say that its not. Ifyou were to find the ‘real’ beneficial cider vinegar, it is brown in colour, unfiltered or refined, and has a tiny cobweb type substance floating in it,known as ‘Mother’.  This unrefined applecider vinegar is of good quality with all the nutrients and health givingproperties inside.

How Can It Help Ailments, Weight Loss and More:
Pectin can be found in the skin ofapples and in the vinegar is a fibre which helps reduce bad cholesterol andhelps in regulating blood pressure.

The potassium in this vinegar alsohelps in eliminating toxic waste from the body. Great for detoxing!

The beta-carotene helps inrepairing damage to the skin caused by pollution and free radicals, helping tomaintain firmer skin and a youthful appearance.

If you suffer from and  including weak finger nails, hair loss, toothdecay, sinusitis, and what seems like a cold or  permanently running nose, this present adeficiency in potassium. Apple cider vinegar is loaded with potassium.

Apple cider vinegar is good forthose wanting to lose weight. It helps in breaking down fat which helps innatural weight reduction.

Apple cider vinegar contains malic acid which is very helpful in fightingfungal and bacterial infections. Uric acid deposits formed around joints can bepainful.  Malic acid dissolves uric aciddeposits that form around joints, helping relieve joint pains. This dissolveduric acid is gradually eliminated from the body.

It has been found that apple cider vinegar is helpful in ailments such as indigestion, constipation, weak bones, headaches, arthritis, diarrhoea, eczema, high bloodpressure, sore eyes, joint ailments, mild food poisoning, sinusitis,  high cholesterol, hair loss, obesity, chronicfatigue, along with a host of many other ailments.

Day Two Party Challenge Detox

Ok, so how did your day one go?  Leave me comments below because I would love to know that I am not on my own doing this :)

Well day two of the challenge -  It's going to be either easy to do, or easy not to do, that is up to you.

The following foods are 'no go' for the next three days at least:
Dairy, Cheese, red meats, sauces, alcohol, cakes, biscuits, white bread.

A good way to help your detox is to have some 'detox' tea.  You can get this from any health food shop. This helps to clear the colon and prepares the body for easy weight loss.

Herbalife's Florafibre product is also a great colon cleanser, and should be used alongside the detox tea for maximum effect.

Remember: Drink lots of water, put more exercise into this 5 day detox period to see good results.

To your weight loss success!
