Get Rid Of Belly Fat!

Want to get rid of belly fat? Want to know the easiest way how?

There really isn't an easy way to lose belly fat , however there are some things that you can eat and exercise that you can do that will help.

First of all mono unsaturated fatty acids or MUFA's for short are good fats that help to break down belly fat.
Of course there is a more technical and scientific description of what mono unsaturated fatty acid is that this is the basic breakdown for you.

So now you know what a MUFA is what foods contain these MUFA's?


Olives, cashews, avocados are all high in MUFA's, other sources include groundnut oil, peanut oil, sesame oil, corn oil. popcorn, whole grain wheat, cereal, oatmeal , safflower oil, almond oil, sunflower oil and dark chocolate.


MUFA's are plants based fats found in some of the world's most delicious foods. Studies have shown that these fats protect you from chronic disease and enhance heart health.

So how do you add these MUFA's to every meal?


Breakfast

For a start you can mix but based granola in your yoghurt or even spread peanut butter on toast bagels for English muffins

Or you can add sunflower seeds, walnuts, or pecans to your cereal or oatmeal you can also sprinkle almonds on top of pancakes or waffles or even French toast

Or include them in a smoothie


Lunch

For lunch you can toss avocado chopped olives on nuts in the green leaf salad or you can sprinkle nuts or sunflower seeds on cream based soups.

Now MUFA's are high calorie foods yet they're very filling so you need less food at your meal.

Curing Depression Can Help You Lose Weight!

It all makes sense to me, and possibly to many of you, but I found this interesting article online that discusses the fact that improving your mood and the way in which you think about yourself will help you to lose weight...

Most nutritionists have long advocated that most of the time people eat for comfort because of an event or moment in their life, where they feel unhappy, unsure of themselves or emotionally insecure. 

Understanding and identifying your triggers that make you 'eat the whole tub of icecream' or chocolate cake when you don't really fell like eating, or where you eat to gain some comfort is the key to losing weight.  In the meantime, it is hard work to try and start a diet where you reduce your calorie intake and possibly most of those comfort foods that make you 'feel good'.  

This is why diets where you don't have to count your calories or worry about fat, fibre or carbohydrate contents and ones that are easy to prepare are the most helpful in getting the weight off, while you figure out the emotional side of eating. 

Some see liquid diets as 'fads', but recently the NHS here in the UK commended them as a useful way to help people lose weight healthily, and to sustain their weight.

Britain Getting Sicker and Sicker

How is that we suddenly because a nation of fatties?

Fast food!

Advances in food technology!

Advances in gaming technology !

Have made us lazy, and expect too much for doing less...

Our youngsters have gotten used to being 'driven' to school, even if school is just a few hundred yards away from home.  The government is cutting down on the amount of time schools apply Pysical Education, and parents don't seem to have the time to take kids sto after school activities and play groups.

The more active our youngsters are throughout their life, will help to bring this forward into their adult lives.

Here is an interesting article I spotted in the Daily Telegraph.  I would love to hear your thoughts

It was one of those strange but illuminating coincidences: at the exact same time that my BlackBerry began to buzz with the news that Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary, was threatening to put legal curbs on the amount of salt, fat and sugar in processed foods, I was staring in mute disbelief at a canteen vending machine at the children’s museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
“Healthy Snacks” screamed the machine’s jazzy logo, promising nuts, raisins and other nutritious goodies. But as I looked through the glass, there was neither a nut nor a raisin in sight. Instead, in its clutches lay cartons of chocolate milk, bottles of pink Snapple, packets of cheesy Ritz Bits, salt-encrusted pretzels and bags of Doritos. All of it junk.

The Top 10 Workout Songs For March



Fort Wayne, IN – March 1, 2013 – This month's top 10 is interesting for its lack of pop stars.

Britney Spears, Flo Rida, and Will.I.Am each turn up in the list.

But, they're in the minority.

Put simply, there weren't a lot of pop songs that came out this month.

In their absence, an eclectic bunch of tracks came out of the woodwork: the YouTube smash “Harlem Shake,” Fall Out Boy's comeback single, and a gritty ode to hell-raising from A$AP Rocky.

Obesity Crises in the UK


With all the food scandals currently going on at the moment. It's no wonder that people are taking to cooking from fresh.

Our lives have changed over the last 40 to 50 years.

With the introduction of processed foods, and of convenience foods, it has made it easier to eat on the go. However the consequences of this as you can see are the amount of people who are vastly overweight.

It doesn't actually help with the introduction of technology and computer games. We are now seeing our children become obese and overweight and in active.

This is not a fact to be proud off, that the parents that were born in the 60s and 70s will probably outlive their children

Something just has to be done!

Jamie Oliver tried it for the school children, and although there has been some success and awareness in what we eat and what nutrition is being provided, more can be done.

A revolution is about to start in the UK.

I can just feel it in my bones!

You Don't Say! Fry Ups Can Kill....

So the government are finally coming clean about the nations health and the crappybfood they have been allowing us to have on the shelves.

After the Horse meat scandal here in the UK, they are now reviewing all types of processed foods and their actual contents.
