Cross Country Bike Ride

Sunday afternoon, we decided to go for a carvery meal.  Now there are alot of calories in a carvery meal approximately 800 to be exact. However, in order to couteract the number of calories about to be eaten, we went on our bikes.

The Carvery is about 2 miles away, so it was a lovely ride there as Sunday was lovely and warm, just a bit windy.

The carvery meal itself was delicious and worth every bit of the 800 calories.  So on the way back home, I decided we should do a detour and go another way home.

Turns out we got lost, and ended up doing a 7 mile round trip home!

Calories lost = 728, so great news, lost nearly all the calories from the carvery meal!

Result!

The great thing is that if you do decide to have a naughty meal, make sure you also have a way to get rid of the calories you are about to eat, this means exercising.

Unfortunately, the only way to lose weight is to use up more calories than you eat!

We all know this, but why do we chose not to follow it.

My challenge to you is to plan your activity each day that will lose you the same amount of calories that you will have eaten for the day!

Working It

Yep this is me,
Colette London Fit Girl Club Founder doing her routine at the gym.
I have just got myself back into a routine and this is the third day this week I have found myself in the gynn working out.

I have a few pounds to lose and controlling my food intake and increasing my exercise is how I intend to shift the pounds around my waist (you know ladies the muffin top we all dread and hate).

But, it's go to be done.

As we get older, the metabolism slows down, in order to keep it going some pace, we have to ad back exercise in our life.

Now I know many of you ladies do a lot of housework, and yes this does burn up energy, and if you are fortunate to be in a very fun, loving and sexy relationship, calories are getting burned up there too, (wink, wink).

However, getting back into a routine can be a 'bore' and a 'drag' and most of the time you reallly have to kick yourself in the butt to get to the gym, or walk or go to a club or something.

I encourage you all to take a look at this new app I am using which is really good, has lots of great people supporting and encouraging and its all FREE.
