Weight Loss- Why Am I Not Losing My Weight?

So,you want to lose weight, your eating rabbit food 7 days a week, and your kind of doing some exercise, but somehow your weight does not seem to be coming down.

Ok, let's be serious, you have been steadily losing weight over the last month or two or possibly more, then all of a sudden your weight seems to stubbornly refuse to go beyond a certain point on the scale.

This is known as reaching a 'plateau'.  This is more common than most people think.  So how do you get beyond your plateau?

Quick Tips To Come Off That Plateau
  • First off, are you drinking enough water? Water is really important and helps with the weight loss process. If you donot ingest enough water your body actually holds on to the water, therefore you can appear to be bloated, or not to lose weight as fat needs water to break it down.
  • Adjust your calorie intake.  Too often when clients first go on a weight loss program, they stick to the same calorie intake from day one, you should be constantly adjusting your calorie intake as you lose the weight.
  • Remember your body is a clever complicated piece of equipment.  It calculates how much calories you need to maintain your 'normal state', which encompasses, breathing, moving, eating, digestion etc and then balances the energy needed to do all those things with the energy you are using when you exercise or do other things.
  • Step up the exercise routine, too often your body quickly assesses how much calories you are eating and using, and then addresses the body fat burning process accordingly. That is what makes us humans so unique.  So in order to fool your body, burn even more energy than you are consuming.  Do some intense exercising to increase the 'burn' rate which in turn will aid fat reduction.
  • Add more fibre to your program. Fibre is responsible for breaking down fat, adding extra fibre to your program will help to break your plateau, as well as helping to break down fat, it will help to make the digestive system run smoothly if you are feeling sluggish.
So use these tips and break that plateau.

To your weightloss success
